Doc is one of 100 people in the world that qualified through their performance as professional bass anglers to fish the highest level of professional bass fishing in the world, the ESPN Bassmaster Elite Series in 2006 and again in 2007. He finished in the top 50 for the last 4 tournaments he entered in 2006. His best finish in 2006 was at the Potomac River, where he got 32nd.
